Saturday the 4th is the first day of the Summer feria is Conil. This is one of the biggest events in Conil.

The traditional festival was a three -day , which began Sept. 8 with the procession of the Virgin through the streets of Conil. Today has become a feria in the style of one in  Seville , marking the end to the summer season .

There are sporting events on around the town and live music every night of the feria. This comes to an end with a wonderful firework display at 12.00 pm on the beach, best watched  from the promenade.

The Summer flea market in Vejer de la frontera starts this Sunday, 6th June. They have decided this year to hold it between 1900 and 2300 hrs. The market is every Sunday now until September.

The new flea-market is situated in the old town of the village, at the pedestrian zone in Calle Juan Relinque.

Feria de Primavera De El Colorado.

The feria de Primavera de El Colorado on the outskirt of Conil begins on Thursday the 3rd June and runs through to the 6th.

A great place to take the family with a host of events every day. Ladies day is Friday when all the women and girls from Conil and surrounding districts don their flamenco dresses, this is a colourful and fun day out. the evening is loud and lively and goes on until the early ours.

Conil Tourist Board is inaugurating its Tuna Route today, Friday 28th May, an initiative which aims at encouraging people to visit local bars and restaurants, to try different tuna dishes, and to promote the local fishing industry.
The Tuna Route will continue until June 13th and 21 establishments are taking part. They will all offer different tuna-based dishes, showing that there are at least one hundred different ways to prepare this fish.
Anyone interested in participating can visit any or all of the following restaurants:
Antonio; Blanco y Verde; Casa Manolo; El Chuletón; El Rezón; El Roqueo; Francisco-La Fontanilla; Fuente del Gallo ‘El Marinero’; La Fontanilla; Pizzería La Gaviota; Mirador El Roqueo; Oasis; Venta Cabo Roche; Venta Melchor; Parrilla Venta el Andaluz; Camping La Rosaleda II and Camping Roche. And the following bars are also taking part: Juan María, Sopa, Piluso and Taberna La Chanca.

On Wednesday, more than fifty of Spain’s best and most famous chefs visited Barbate to learn more about the red tuna for which the port town is famous. They spent the day following the whole process of preparing the fish from the time it is caught to the time it is ready for sale, a day described by Juan María Arzak as “legendary”. With this Basque master chef in Barbate were Ferrán Adriá, considered by Restaurant Magazine to be the second best chef on the planet, Quique Dacosta, Alberto Chicote, Sacha Hormaechea, Koldo Royo, Andoni Lis Adúriz and a whole host of other award-winning and famous names in the world of haute cuisine.

La Romaria has been cancelled once again due to rain,rain and more rain!! They are hoping to carry on with events the following Sunday 31st January. If once again the weather is not suitable, then unfortunately it will be cancelled until next year otherwise it will clash with the Cadiz.
